I am not in-network with any health insurance plans and therefore all fees are paid out-of-pocket by the patient. However, I provide all patients with a detailed receipt called a "superbill". This can be used by patients to submit claims on their own to their plan. Often, the insurance company will count the full or partial amount of the appointment fee towards the deductible or reimburse the patient directly if the deductible has been met.
Of note, Medicare, regardless of the plan, will not reimburse fees from out-of-network providers.
Please contact your insurance company to learn about your out-of-network benefits.
The initial evaluation, which is the first appointment with me, typically takes place for 60 minutes - 90 minutes. The fee is $700.00. Follow-up appointments are typically 20 minutes - 30 minutes long and the fee is $350.
The frequency of appointments is guided by the patient's clinical needs (appointments are usually more frequent early in treatment and then decrease in frequency as the patient improves).
In accordance with the “No Surprises Act” that went into effect January 1, 2022, you have the right to request a “Good Faith Estimate” of the expected cost of my services over a 1-year span. Payment is expected at the time that services are rendered. Credit, debit, Zelle, check, and cash payments are all acceptable.
For clinical reasons, it is preferred that the patient's their initial session takes place in-person in my office. Many patients choose to continue with in-person appointments for follow-up as well. However, I also offer televideo and telephonic appointments for those with busy schedules or other logistical factors. Both in-person and virtual appointments are offered Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
If you are interested in starting treatment, please reach out to me by phone or email. We will start with a short phone conversation briefly discussing why you are seeking treatment and what your goals of treatment are. If it is decided that what I offer is a good match for what you need, we will then schedule an in-person or virtual initial evaluation.
The initial evaluation is generally 60 to 90 minutes long and will review your complete psychiatric history. From there, we can start to plan your medication strategy and appointment frequency to best address your issues.
Follow-up appointments are usually 20 to 30 minutes long, can be in-person or virtual (on the phone or over video), and will cover symptom progress, medication effects, potential safety issues, and planning your next steps.
